Crepes Suzette is a classic French dessert that brings together delicate, paper-thin crepes and a luscious, orange-infused sauce. The crepes themselves are light and buttery, a perfect canvas for the flavorful Suzette sauce to shine. This sauce, made with caramelized sugar, rich butter, vibrant orange zest, and a generous splash of Grand Marnier, offers a delightful citrusy fragrance. When served warm, the sauce lightly coats each crepe, providing a sensual and elegant dessert experience ideal for any special occasion or to impress guests with a touch of French cuisine. Enjoy these crepes as they tantalize your taste buds with each soft, zesty bite!

Ingredients for Crepes:

– 1 cup all-purpose flour

– 2 tablespoons sugar

– ¼ teaspoon salt

– 2 eggs

– 1 cup milk

– 2 tablespoons melted butter

Ingredients for Suzette Sauce:

– 2 tablespoons sugar

– 2 tablespoons butter

– Orange zest (cut into thin strips)

– 10 fl oz Grand Marnier

Instructions for Crepes:

1. Prepare the Batter:

   – In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and ¼ teaspoon of salt.

   – In another bowl, whisk together 2 eggs and 1 cup of milk.

   – Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth.

   – Stir in 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Let the batter rest for about 30 minutes.

2. Cook the Crepes:

   – Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Lightly grease it with butter.

   – Pour a small amount of batter (about ¼ cup) into the pan, swirling to coat the bottom evenly.

   – Cook for about 1-2 minutes, or until the edges lightly brown. Flip and cook for another 1 minute on the other side.

   – Repeat with the remaining batter. Stack crepes on a plate, covering them with a cloth to keep warm.

Instructions for Suzette Sauce:

1. Make the Sauce:

   – In a small saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over low heat.

   – Stir in 2 tablespoons of sugar and the orange zest strips.

   – Add 10 fl oz of Grand Marnier and stir well. Simmer the sauce gently for a few minutes until slightly thickened.

To Serve:

1. Place one crepe on a serving plate.

2. Spoon some Suzette sauce over the crepe, folding it in quarters if desired.

3. Repeat with remaining crepes and sauce.

4. Optional: Garnish with additional orange zest or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Enjoy your delicious crepes with Suzette sauce!
