This Gourmet Chocolate Cookie with Walnuts and Macadamia combines traditional cookies’ warm and familiar flavor with the rich texture of walnuts and the exotic taste of macadamias, elevating the experience to a new level. This recipe is perfect for any occasion, whether a cozy night in or a festive celebration.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups (284g) of all- purpose flour
- ¾ tsp of salt
- ½ tsp of baking soda
- 1 cup of sugar
- ½ cup of brown sugar
- 2 sticks (227g) of butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- 170g chocolate, semisweet or bittersweet (I used 60% cocoa)
- ½ cup of chopped walnuts
- ¼ cup of macadamia
- Chocolate chips (white and milk chocolate chips) to put on the top (optional)
Instruction:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in the large bowl, mixing until a dough forms.
- Chop the chocolate into small chunks and add them, along with the chopped walnuts and macadamia nuts, to the cookie dough. Mix until everything is evenly distributed.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, portion out the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie as they will spread while baking.
- If desired, you can press some chocolate chips (white and milk chocolate) onto the tops of the cookie dough for extra chocolatey goodness.
- Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
